![]() The Mansfield Soldiers and Sailors building became a reality through the efforts of two Mansfield groups: the Mansfield Library Association and the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), a group of Civil War Veterans. In 1989, a group of people interested in preserving the history of the Shiloh area including Cass and Bloominggrove Townships met to form the Shiloh Area Historical Society.
